Each therapy session is a confidential space where you can talk openly about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences—without judgment. What we talk about will depend on what you're going through and what you're hoping to get out of therapy.
In our first session, we’ll get to know each other. I’ll ask some questions to understand your background, what’s bringing you in, and what goals you might have. It’s also a chance for you to ask questions and get a sense of whether you feel comfortable working with me.
As therapy continues, sessions might include:
Exploring current challenges or past experiences
Identifying patterns or beliefs that may be holding you back
Learning tools to manage anxiety, mood, or stress
Processing emotions or trauma at your own pace
Building insight, self-compassion, and coping strategies
Sometimes we’ll talk; other times we might incorporate mindfulness, somatic (body-based) awareness, or other therapeutic techniques, depending on your needs and comfort level.
Above all, therapy is a collaborative process. You are always in control of what we focus on, and we’ll move at a pace that feels safe and respectful to you.

Most clients start with weekly sessions, especially at the beginning when building momentum and trust is important. Over time, we may shift to biweekly or as-needed, depending on your goals and progress.

Absolutely. Everything we discuss in session is private and confidential, with a few exceptions required by law (such as risk of harm to yourself or others, or concerns about child/elder abuse). I’ll explain confidentiality clearly during our first session.

You can begin by scheduling a free phone consultation. This is a no-pressure, 15–20 minute call to ask questions, share what you're looking for, and see if we’re a good fit. If we decide to move forward, we’ll schedule your first session and go from there.

That’s completely okay. Many people feel unsure or nervous at first. My goal is to make therapy feel approachable and grounded. You don’t need to have all the answers—we’ll figure things out together, one step at a time.

A strong therapeutic relationship is essential for healing. If after a few sessions it doesn’t feel like the right fit, that’s okay. I’m happy to help connect you with another therapist who may be a better match. You deserve to work with someone who feels right for you.
